Paul encourages Christians that once they receive Christ Jesus as Lord that they are to continue to live their lives in him. The Christian life is a journey and Paul encourages us to continue to live our lives like we received Christ—in faith. Our faith in Christ must be growing, it is not stagnant, we start with a faith we continue with faith. It implies a daily, steady, step-by-step effort and progress toward a goal. We are to continue to live “in Him,” that is, in all that Jesus is for us as we are in Him.
