Bible Text: Joshua 20:1-9 | Preacher: Donnie Case | Series: Courageous Promises | The Bible talks a lot about safety. God makes special provision for safety, both physical and spiritual. One of God’s provisions for safety is tucked away in the Old Testament in what was known as the Cities of Refuge, and these are a powerful picture of the Gospel. It is these cities of refuge that we can see God’s Courageous Promise for the people of Israel in Joshua’s day as well as for His people today. They paint for us a clear picture of the salvation that is to be found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.
