There is probably no one in the Bible who understood the value and importance of a brand new life better than the Apostle Paul. Recall Paul was once called Saul and was known as a persecutor of the Church of Jesus. But Saul had a real “come to Jesus” meeting with Jesus. So Saul became Paul and was the chosen instrument of the Lord to proclaim his name to the Gentiles. So many people get bogged down in going through life and never experience the joy of life. Paul’s passion is that the Jews and Gentiles in Rome would experience a brand new life in Christ, a deep inner peace that comes from being justified by faith.
