Bible Text: 1 Corinthians 14:1-25 | Preacher: Donnie Case | Series: GIFTS OF THE BODY | As many things in our culture and society do today, the gift of tongues is an issue that brings sharp division among those who should be united. Some people believe that the gift of tongues is the superior gift above all the spiritual gifts. Some go further saying Christians cannot truly be spiritual as long as they neglect this gift. Paul did not teach this at all; he is not dismissing this as a gift, but he is putting it in its proper perspective. We must work diligently through 1 Corinthians 14:1-25 to learn the biblical understanding of what the NIV labels as “Intelligibility in Worship.”
