Encountering God’s Grace: Jonah Pouts

Bible Text: Jonah 4Series: Encountering God’s Grace

In Jonah chapter 4 the tone of the book changes. This book should end in celebration but instead it ends in self-loathing. If the book of Jonah had ended with verse 10 of chapter 3, history would have portrayed Jonah as one of the greatest prophets. Unfortunately for Jonah, the book continued. While there was an incredible spiritual awakening in Nineveh after Jonah’s preaching, God goes on to reveal to us the importance of considering Jonah’s thoughts and intentions so that we might learn what God truly values in His people.
