Bible Text: Ephesians 6:1-3 | Preacher: Donnie Case | Series: Courageous Homes | Parenting is one of the most difficult jobs ever yet also one of the most rewarding. From the young toddler learning “no” to the willfully defiant older child all parents face the challenge of disobedient children. However, disobedience is not just a child issue. The Bible says we all battle the desire to rule ourselves and do as we please because we all are born into sin and rebellion. This battle against self-rule can wage an all-out war on our children if their disobedience is left unchecked. It can affect their future relationships with teachers, employers, friends, spouses, aging parents, and even God. God gives us the tools to train and discipline disobedient children, and He even promises blessing to those who learn and grow in obedience.
