Paper Hearts

God chose to give us His only Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. Watch the video on the App

Today, practice cutting hearts. Fold paper in half. Draw half of a heart starting at the folded edge. Cut along the line. Unfold the paper. Talk about how hearts make you think of love. God loves us SO much, He gave us Jesus to be our friend forever.

Blow the Horn!

Sunday’s Bible story was about the return of a prodigal son and the father who still loved him, no matter what. Watch the video on the App

Today, get a horn and go outside. Play a game where one runs to a tree, car, bush, etc. while the other blows the horn when they run back. Talk about how the father had a party when his son came back, because he loved him. God loves us no matter what, too!

God Made Me!

Sunday, we learned that God made us and loves us very much. Watch the video on the App

Today, Google “printable preschool body puzzle,” choose a puzzle, print a copy, and cut apart the pieces. Do the puzzle with your child as you talk about how God made each part. End saying, “God made us, and because God made us, He loves us very much.”

Shout It Out

Jesus gave us a very important job to do in our Bible story Sunday. Watch the video on the App

Try this: Get paper, crayons, stickers, and tape. Ask your child to name people. Write the names on the paper. Allow your child to decorate the paper. Roll the paper to make a megaphone and tape the edge. Use the megaphone to say together, “Jesus is alive!”

Fish on the Beach

Jesus showed us in Sunday’s story that He is alive and He wants to be our friend forever. Watch the video on the App

Tomorrow, invite your child to help you make breakfast. As you eat, tell your child, “Jesus made breakfast for His friends on a beach. Jesus wanted His friends to know that He is alive and He wants to be their friend forever.”

The Tomb Is Empty

As you drive or take a walk, take turns with your child naming friends. Some of them should be the same. After all, family can be friends, too! Talk about how Jesus wants to be our friend. In fact, Jesus wants to be our friend forever!

Also, you can review the true story of Easter as you create a model of the tomb using rocks and sand.

The Stone Was Rolled Away…

Sunday’s Bible story was about how angry people hurt Jesus so bad that He died, but on the third day, Jesus came back, just like He said He would. Watch the video on the App

Today, sit with your child and roll a ball back and forth to each other. Each time your child rolls it to you, say, “Jesus went away.” Each time you roll it back to your child, say, “Jesus came back!”

Sunday, we learned about the first Palm Sunday and that it is a special day about celebrating Jesus. Watch the video on the App

Today, take a walk outside with your family and everyone pick a leaf or small branch. Have your own Palm Sunday parade in your yard. Wave your branches and say, “Hosanna! Hosanna! Yay, Jesus!”
